Coloring WW2 photos
Coloring black and white photos isn't "all that". It's mostly about patience and a good photo to begin with. This is just a basic tutorial of what you can do to have some fun. There are plenty of more advanced ways of doing it.
First, you need Photoshop. Find a good BW photo with good dpi, preferably 300dpi with good quality. Put the mode to RGB, and make a new layer from duplicate. Choose the paint icon and choose the "color" setting. Use color photos to pick the "right" color for your picture. Sometimes I simply guess the right colors, and they are obviously not right all the time, but the difference are quite staggering at times.
Here's some of the stuff I've done:

Ltn. Arve Aas on his way over to Great Britain from Canada, 1941

Anton Wang, 332 sqdn mechanic and part of the Pathfinder Force on a Lancaster

Fredrik Fearnley, 332 squadron 1942

331 squadron Hawkler Hurricane, fall of 1941

Erik Haabjørn and "Spit", and Finn Thorsager, both 332 squadron.

Helge Mehre, Squadron Leader 331 and later Wing Commander Flying, North Weald Wing.

Leif Lundsten, 331 squadron leader 1944.

Tarald Weisteen, 331 Squadron 1941
